Late...

Today Baby Kelley is SIX days late. It really could be any time till he is here. I guess he is just cozy in there. Hopefully he'll be here soon! But we are hoping it will not be today (April Fools!). We are so anxious to meet him!!

40 week update!

So it is two days till my due date! Matt and I went to the doctor for my check up this morning. I am so excited because I weigh one pound less than I did last week :) I think I did really good weight wise (I've gained 36 pounds total) Anyways, they took my blood pressure and it was pretty high (160/90) so they made me sit back, relax, and take it again. Thankfully it went down. They said they wanted to check my progress and I was so surprised to find out that I am two to three centimeters dilated and eighty percent effaced! Dr. Gordon said it really could be any day now and that she would be surprised if I went another week. Just to be on the safe side she called the hospital to see when they could fit me in for an induction. We are scheduled for Thursday, April 2nd at 6:00a.m. I am so excited and can't wait to see what is going to happen. It could be any time! So sometime within the next nine days we will have a baby!!

39 week update!

So I had my 39 week doctors appointment on Tuesday. My blood pressure was down from last week, but it was still high. They want me to take it easy. I saw doctor Cragun this week. They wanted to check my progress, but i told them I would rather wait till my appointment next week. He said that everything seems to be going great. I told him that I was hoping to deliver late and he said he wouldn't be surprised if I was a week late. I told him that that would be great with me! I have my 40 week doctor's appointment on Tuesday (March 24th). I am hoping I will make it past then and we can talk about induction at that appointment. They are definitely going to check me on Tuesday, so I will know a lot more then!

38 week update!

On Monday I had my doctor's appointment. When I got to the appointment, they asked if I wanted to be checked to see how far along I am (If I am dilated or effaced at all). I told them that I am not ready to know that yet. Also, this week my doctor was pretty worried about my high blood pressure. I can not remember exactly what it was, but she said the minute I see any signs of puffiness in my face, hands, or feet or have a headache, I need to call to let them know. I feel okay. I am super exhausted. But besides that I am doing alright. I did tell her that I am hoping to be late so that I can enjoy Kalli and my new nephew Koltin for a few more weeks and she looked at me like I was crazy. I told her that I don't even want to start thinking about induction for another two or three weeks, if possible. So we'll see. It could be any day now, or it could be three weeks from now. My doctor did say that they will not let me go ten days past my due date. So we will definitely have a baby by April 5th!!

37 week update!

I had my 37 week doctor's appointment today. I met with Dr. Gordon. I gained two pounds in the last week. I guess it was all the great food I ate at my baby shower! My blood pressure was really good today, so I am happy about that! The baby sounded great and Dr. Gordon said that everything is going well. I did test positive for Strep B, which really worried me, but she said not to worry at all, that it is very common. She said the only thing that will happen will be that the hospital gives me antibiotics when I go in for labor & delivery. Besides that all is well.

Baby Shower

I had the best baby shower on Saturday February 28th at noon! Lindsay and Denise did such a great job! I had so much fun!! I will post pictures as soon as I get them! Thank you to everyone that was able to attend! Thank you to my mom for allowing us to have the party at her house. And a HUGE THANK YOU to Lindsay and Denise for throwing the shower! It really was so beautiful!

36 week update!

I had my 36 week doctors appointment today. We met with Dr. Cragun. He is the only male doctor in the practice. Matt went to the appointment with me so that we could both meet him. He said my weight is looking great! From my 35 week appointment to my 36 week appointment I hadn't gained any weight!! Yeah :) He said that I am one of those sickeningly healthy people and that what ever I am doing, keep doing, because everything looks great. He did do a quick Strep B test, which is standard for all pregnant women at 36 weeks to get. He said everything should be great, so unless I hear from them I should be all clear with that test. I start going to the doctor every week from here on out! So exciting :)

35 week update!

I had my 35 week doctors appointment today. I met with the nurse practitioner in our office. She is really nice. She did the routine check up. The only unusual thing she said was that she was worried about my high blood pressure. Every time I go in to the doctor's office my blood pressure is high. I think I am always just really excited to hear what they have to say. I really am feeling great and relaxed. So I'm not sure why it is always so high. They usually have to take it twice, but today they took my blood pressure three times. Yikes! I need to calm down!

33 week update!

I had my 33 week doctors appointment today! I have only gained 2 pounds in the last two weeks, thankfully! I have seven weeks left, so I am right on target for the amount of weight I wanted to gain! Yeah!! Matt went to the appointment with me today. I had an ultrasound and the doctor's main focus was to check to see if my placenta had moved and it had. Which means everything looks good and there is no need for a scheduled C-Section. The good news is we got to see the baby! It is definitely squished in there, so it was hard to see everything. But here are some of the photos we got.
