36 week update!
I had my 36 week doctors appointment today. We met with Dr. Cragun. He is the only male doctor in the practice. Matt went to the appointment with me so that we could both meet him. He said my weight is looking great! From my 35 week appointment to my 36 week appointment I hadn't gained any weight!! Yeah :) He said that I am one of those sickeningly healthy people and that what ever I am doing, keep doing, because everything looks great. He did do a quick Strep B test, which is standard for all pregnant women at 36 weeks to get. He said everything should be great, so unless I hear from them I should be all clear with that test. I start going to the doctor every week from here on out! So exciting :)

35 week update!
I had my 35 week doctors appointment today. I met with the nurse practitioner in our office. She is really nice. She did the routine check up. The only unusual thing she said was that she was worried about my high blood pressure. Every time I go in to the doctor's office my blood pressure is high. I think I am always just really excited to hear what they have to say. I really am feeling great and relaxed. So I'm not sure why it is always so high. They usually have to take it twice, but today they took my blood pressure three times. Yikes! I need to calm down!

33 week update!
I had my 33 week doctors appointment today! I have only gained 2 pounds in the last two weeks, thankfully! I have seven weeks left, so I am right on target for the amount of weight I wanted to gain! Yeah!! Matt went to the appointment with me today. I had an ultrasound and the doctor's main focus was to check to see if my placenta had moved and it had. Which means everything looks good and there is no need for a scheduled C-Section. The good news is we got to see the baby! It is definitely squished in there, so it was hard to see everything. But here are some of the photos we got.
This is a picture of his ribs. The dark spot in the middle is his heart...

This is supposedly a picture of his "boy parts" but it is so blurry to tell. Thankfully he is still a boy!...

First Baby Shower Gift...
We received our first baby shower gift! It was sent to us from Hai & Hortensia Wang (Matt's old boss/friend and his wife). They sent us the Chicco Stroller and Baby Bjorn that we registered for. We love them both! Matt was especially excited to get the Bjorn. I have been carrying the baby around for the last 8 months, so he is excited to carry him around!

Baby Kelley's Nursery
We are in the process of getting baby Kelley's nursery together. We put a new fresh coat of paint on the walls and we also painted one wall with a brown stripe. My dad is coming over this weekend to help us hang the wainscoting and chair rail on one wall. After that is done we just need to wait for the furniture and the bedding to arrive and the room will be complete and ready for baby! The dresser/changer is on backorder until February 7th and the crib is on backorder until February 27th. So the room should be all done by the end of February!! I can't wait :)

31 week update!
Today I went to the doctor for my 31 week appointment. They said that everything is going great! The most exciting news is that I have only gained 1 pound in the last two weeks! I am so thankful for that! I got the results of my glucose test and I passed with flying colors! My doctor said that my sugars look great and my blood work is really good. She said that around this time women start to get a little anemic, but she said I don't have any problems at all. She said that what ever I am doing, keep doing, because everything is going so great! She did tell me that at my next appointment they are going to do an ultrasound to see if my placenta had fixed itself. Which is exciting because we will get to see the baby one more time before he is born! Other than that everything seems to be going great!

29 week update!
Today I went to my 29 week doctors appointment. I start going to the doctor every other week for now till March! So I will have more baby updates. Before this appointment I had to go take the Glucose Test to test for Gestational Diabetes. Every pregnant women has this test done around this time of the pregnancy, so it is routine. They didn't have my results for the test yet, but they said they would call me when they got them.
I got to listen to the baby's heart beat. He was super active when I was at the doctors, so he was kicking at the doppler the whole time. My doctor thought it was funny.
Besides that, everything seems good. My heart rate was up a little bit, but they didn't seem too worried about it. I go back for my next appointment on Wednesday the 21st.

Great Expectations Class
So Matt and I went to our first "Great Expectations" class last night. It was from 7:00-9:00 at Mercy Folsom Hospital. There are eight couples total in our class and out of the eight, they were all having boys except one couple! So crazy, so many boys! All the couples there are due in March. Half are due at the very beginning and half are due at the end, but we are all having March baby's. And we are all delivering at Mercy Folsom.
The class was very informative and we learned a lot! Last night, Ruby (our director) talked about anatomy, pregnancy warning signs, pregnancy discomforts, relaxation and breathing and exercise.
Next week we have to bring pillows and a blanket to the class, so I can't wait to see what we are learning then!

We are both kind of excited to go and learn new things about parenting and what is going to go on during labor and delivery. Should be interesting!

Matt had a successful shoulder surgery on Christmas Eve. There was more work that needed to be done once they got in to his shoulder with the camera. But the were able to repair everything and he will be as good as new before we know it.

Dallas Texas
The weekend of Kalli's Birthday we flew to Dallas Texas to (finally) visit my mom! Kalli, Bodie, Matt and I all flew on Frontier airlines. We left on Thursday Dec. 4th and flew through Denver. Our flight was about an hour delayed in Denver because of the snowy weather. We got to Dallas pretty late on Thursday night. Friday we went to visit my mom at her office in Colleyville and met all her co-workers. We had lunch with her at a yummy Mexican food restaurant called Gloria's. My mom's company has two cars that they loan out to their employees, so my was able to get the Cadillac Escalade for us to use for the weekend. That night we went to Bob's Steak and Chop House and had the best dinner! On Saturday the guys went golfing and the girls went shopping! Matt had such a great time golfing in Texas, he loved it there! We went to a bunch of fun stores and a really nice mall. Saturday night my mom took us all to a Dallas Mavericks game. It was a blast! After the game we hung out around the gorgeous American Airlines Amphitheater. The girls went to a yummy gelato place and the guys went to a Cigar Bar. Then on Sunday we went to eat lunch and went shopping a little bit more and then we had to catch our flight back to Sacramento. It was so great to finally see Dallas and see where my mom lives and works. We had such an awesome time and can't wait to go back!

Thanksgiving in Tahoe...
We went to Tahoe for Thanksgiving with the Kelley family. Gary, Marla, Chad, Jennie, Max, "Nick-is", David, Heather, Matt and I. We stayed at the Hyatt Grand Sierra Lodge. We had such a good time. We didn't do much. While we were there we got to go up to our friend Mike and Alana's house above Diamond Peak Ski resort. It was great to see them. The hotel we stayed at is time shares and we had two rooms that each had kitchens and two bedrooms and two bathrooms. We all cooked Thanksgiving Dinner in the rooms. It was a lot of fun.

Matt's shoulder surgery
So we just got the call from Matt's surgeon that he will be having arthroscopic shoulder surgery on Christmas Eve!!
Two years ago when Matt had the accident at the Porters swimming pool he sliced open his patela tendon (which was repaired with surgery immediatly after the accident) and dislocated his shoulder. Since then his shoulder has not been the same. It has not effected his golf game, but it is hard for him to throw a baseball or football and it pops in and out all the time.
About a month ago we found out that our health insurance is changing at the start of 2009 and Matt decided that we should take advantage of our current insurance, so he met with the surgeon that did his knee surgery and told him that if he could be fit in before the end of the year, to call us. Thankfully they had an opening for December 24th at 10:30 a.m.!
The recovery time is about three months (which is just before the baby is due). So it will work out perfectly.
He is a little worried about the surgery, but now is as good a time as ever to get it repaired and get all fixed up.
Wish us luck :)
